The state supreme court has refused to cancel next week’s scheduled execution of Martin Link. Link’s attorneys say Link should get a new trial because his lawyer in his first trial was ineffective. Link faces the death penalty for the rape and murder of an 11-year old girl in St. Louis in 19-91. He’s to be executed next Tuesday night.
